Sagarmatha National Park, in the heart of the Himalayas, is one of the most spectacular and protected natural destinations in the world. It covers an area of approximately 1,148 square kilometres and includes spectacular landscapes, including mountain ranges, deep gorges, rivers and dense forests, culminating in the legendary Mount Everest.

The park was established in 1976 to protect its unique biodiversity. Since 1979 it has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and, in 2002, the IUCN classified it as a Category II park.

The fauna of Sagarmatha National Park is equally rich, hosting over 118 species of birds and 26 species of raptors, as well as unique mammals such as lynxes and bears. The park's flora features more than 500 species of plants, adding unique natural diversity to the area.

In addition to enjoying the natural beauty, the park offers activities that attract visitors from all over the world. The hiking trails are extremely popular, with the route to Mount Everest being the most challenging for climbing and adventure lovers.
