Barranco Wall
The Barranco Wall is part of the ascent to Karanga Camp.
The Barranco Wall is one of the most exciting and demanding challenges for climbers attempting the ascent of Kilimanjaro. This steep slope, although not requiring technical climbing knowledge, requires concentration, physical strength and a little bit of skill, as it also requires the use of hands for the climb.
The Wall's reputation is not only based on its difficulty, but also on the unique views it offers. Upon reaching the top, climbers are rewarded with panoramic views stretching from the valley to the surrounding mountain peaks, creating a moment of awe and satisfaction.
