Kanchenjunga

The sacred mountain of the five treasures.
Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world at 8,586 metres, dominates the Himalayan mountain ranges as a symbol of natural beauty and spiritual significance. Its name, which means "The Five Treasures of Snow" in Tibetan, refers to the five peaks that locals consider sacred, representing riches such as gold, silver, grain and knowledge.

The first ascent was made in 1955 by British climbers, paving the way for adventurous mountain lovers. The route to the summit passes through dense forests, remote villages and icy fields, offering an experience of unique natural beauty and challenge.

Climbing Kanchenjunga is known for its difficulties, from steep gradients to changing weather conditions. However, it continues to attract climbers from all over the world, not only for its challenge, but also for its unique atmosphere and its connection to local spiritual traditions.
