Delphi Hike on the Ancient Footpath and Archaeological Site Visit
Experience a historic and inspiring hike on the ancient footpath from the slopes of Mt. Parnassos to the village of Delphi, blending the beauty of nature with the mystery of ancient temples. This path, once used by Pan’s worshippers to reach the Corycean Grotto for sacred rites, is now part of the E4 European trail.
Starting at Livadi plateau at 1200m, we descend toward the Delphi sanctuary with stunning views over olive groves, the Corinthian Gulf, and the Peloponnesian mountains. Along the way, we’ll pause for a picnic near the cave of Pan, in a traditional sheep barn.
Upon reaching Delphi, we’ll explore the UNESCO-listed archaeological site and museum with a professional guide, visiting the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, and museum highlights like the Bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete statue of Aghias.
